You keep overthinking and cannot really switch off
Repetitive thoughts, constant alertness, difficulty resting or the feeling that your mind never fully comes to a stop.
In-person psychology in Altea and online therapy
If you have been living with anxiety, emotional blocks, sadness, insecurity, relationship strain or the feeling that you keep repeating the same pattern, this is a place to begin with clarity, warmth and professional support.
Maybe this sounds familiar
Many people do not arrive saying “I need therapy”. They arrive describing a mix of symptoms, inner fatigue and the feeling that something is slipping out of place.
Repetitive thoughts, constant alertness, difficulty resting or the feeling that your mind never fully comes to a stop.
Low energy, lack of motivation, emotional numbness, insecurity or the sense that you have not been truly well for quite a while.
Couples conflict, fear of setting boundaries, people-pleasing or relational dynamics that repeat even though you know they hurt you.
About Javi Mateo
You have probably not arrived here by chance, so I will get straight to the point. We live in complex times, and feelings such as insecurity, stress and fear are often more common than exceptional.
As a psychologist, I integrate different therapeutic approaches depending on the case in order to support a process that is effective, well held and genuinely useful, including, when appropriate, elements related to Biodecoding or systemic constellations.
I want to work with you in a way that feels close, but also professional and direct. I can support you in Spanish or English, online or in person.
Common situations
These are not rigid diagnostic lists, but frequent signs many people recognise in themselves before asking for help.
When inner pressure, tension and overload start taking up too much space.
When it becomes hard to keep up your rhythm, feel motivated or connect with what used to feel alive.
When conflict, distance or repeating relational patterns begin to weigh too much.
How I can help
Not everyone arrives knowing what kind of therapy they need, but most people do arrive knowing what hurts, what blocks them or what has become too heavy to carry alone.

Approach
Javi Mateo’s work starts from a serious psychological basis while also leaving room for other tools when they can bring context, understanding or depth to the process.
How I work
I work by integrating different therapeutic perspectives depending on what each process needs and what can genuinely help.
I use it when it is important to work with presence, authenticity, emotion and the way you relate to yourself and others.
It helps me look more deeply at patterns, inner conflicts, bonds and repetitions that cannot always be understood only from the immediate surface.
It becomes useful when it is important to understand the role of family, partner dynamics and relational context in what you are going through.
I bring it in when more awareness, more presence and a less automatic experience of the process can be helpful.
I integrate them with care and clear framing when they can add understanding or nuance, without replacing the psychological basis of the work.
First step
If you feel it may be time to look at yourself with more honesty and support, you can get in touch and take that first step without pressure.
