You feel you lose control too easily
You promise yourself to stop, regulate or do it differently, but end up falling back into patterns that wear you down.
How I can help
When a behaviour or substance has started taking too much space
Working on addiction is not only about cutting the symptom. It also means understanding emptiness, impulses, emotional regulation and context.
How it often feels
There is often also distress, repetition, impulsivity or difficulty holding certain emotions in other ways.
You promise yourself to stop, regulate or do it differently, but end up falling back into patterns that wear you down.
Sometimes the heaviest part is not only the behaviour, but everything around it: guilt, isolation and the feeling that it cannot be spoken about openly.
Impulses, emptiness, anger, loneliness or difficulty regulating yourself are often very present underneath the addictive pattern.
The sooner the role of the behaviour is understood, the more possibilities there are to begin changing it for real and not only fighting with the symptom.
